Important Elements of Oven Construction

Here are all the elements of an industrial convection oven:

 

Interior: if the process is expected to experience only heat and moisture during heating, an aluminized steel interior would be sufficient. It can also resist other kinds of process materials and won’t easily peel or flake off. However, if corrosive materials and acids are to be processed, stainless steel is the best material choice.

 

Exterior: this refers to the outside material used to create the industrial convection oven. It should be built using durable and strong materials such as rolled steel that is painted with protective coating if the application is under non-corrosive conditions. However, if your application is in an operating environment that will be exposed to corrosive fumes, then it’s highly advised to opt for stainless steel instead, for excellent resistance to corrosion.

 

Insulation and Wall Panel: these components are responsible for keeping the oven’s exterior cool despite the extreme temperature inside during the heating process. The physical strength of these elements is expressed in the overall frame of the industrial convection oven. Quality insulation has the correct density and is sized properly. It is then adequately compressed into the panel to prevent sagging.

 

Control Panel: this is the most important element as it is where the operator will interact with the oven. An excellent control panel has legible legend plates, clear readouts, a timer, recorder, large push-button operation, and so on. It must be reliable all the time to ensure the product functions as desired.

 

Ductwork: great ductwork allows the adjustment and fine-tuning of air flow and temperature inside the work area. When it comes to materials, they have to go with the interior guidelines of the oven. Overall, it has to be able to facilitate and not hinder proper air flow and temperature uniformity so as not to compromise the quality of the heated product.
